Ed White Elementary Watershed Mural, 2001

Midway through the mural the hot Texas summer was upon Bejat and her recruited summer crew from Ed White Elementary. "At this point we had about 2 and three layers of paint in places with several more to go and the children were wondering if we would ever finish, however all good things come to those who persevere and soon enough it was finished by November of that year." The several layers of paint also included using impasto methods to attach real bark from old stumps of dead trees that were on the school grounds as well as the use of pearlescent and iridescent paints. All speices depicted are exquisitely detailed to provide complete recognition.
